The Procedure for Ozonating a Structure are as Follows:

1. Isolate the building envelope (seal exits and leak points)

2. Configure the ventilation system to run in full recirculation mode.

3. Place the ozone feed gas hose inside the ductwork.

4. Engage the ozone generator and monitor building levels using a high end Ozone Sensor.

5. Operate the system until effective levels of Ozone gas are achieved throughout the building.

6. Upon completion, vent the building with outdoor air for one half of an hour.

8. Verify no residual ozone is left in building before entering.

Figure #1 illustrates the setup of an ozone remediation system. The outside air intakes must be closed, as well as the doors and windows. The ventilation system is the run in full recirculation mode. The ozone generator could inject ozone directly into the duct or air-handling unit. Ozone sensors should be distributed around the building to ensure that sufficient levels of ozone are reached everywhere.

Monitoring of the ozone levels does require high-end sensors. CMT uses the those with accuracy and sensitivity in the range of 1-10 PPM, such as the one shown here.
